I'm going to be honest: I think Chick-fil-A is boring. It's way too overhyped, and if you don't know about the chain's ever-growing anti-LGBTQ history, well, you do now.
My solution for your fried pickly, kinda-chickeny cravings can be found at Gulfport's Golden Dinosaurs.
- Their Chick-fil-Nay, made with fried seitan, house-made bread n' butter pickles and Dino Sauce on a toasted brioche bun, is a super yummy alternative.
- I loved it, and even my meat-eating friends said it was tasty. You can tell this is obviously not chicken, but it definitely satisfied my fried meat craving.
Plus: The eatery is donating proceeds from sales of the sandwich this month to Metro Inclusive Health. So you can actually help the LGBTQ community and eat a damn good sandwich, too.
