Tampa Mayor Jane Castor announced the post-pandemic comeback of Boom by the Bay, the city's 4th of July celebrations, with a slightly awkward video that still had better acting than Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater's Amazon Prime show.
What to expect: Tampa is upping its game with six firework displays along the downtown waterfront and a new boat parade and Blessing of the Fleet along the Riverwalk.

Side note: Rays fans were disappointed that the big announcement wasn't a new stadium in Ybor as they expected.
- Who can blame them? Look at this thing. It's beautiful!
