Concert ticket prices are down slightly this summer from last year's heights, according to new data from SeatGeek.

Why it matters: Pop's biggest names aren't on the circuit this time around. Experts say that last year's prices were likely due to historic demand to see Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

This summer's big draw is Olivia Rodrigo, who kicks off the next U.S. leg of her "Guts" world tour in July.

By the numbers: SeatGeek reports that the average resale ticket price to attend a summer concert is $224, down from $269 around this time last year.

  • That comes alongside an 11% increase in the number of U.S. concerts this summer when compared to last year.

Among the top artists performing this summer in the Seattle area, based on overall ticket sales on SeatGeek:

  1. Olivia Rodrigo
  2. Zach Bryan (Tacoma Dome, Nov. 22 and 23)
  3. Noah Kahan (Gorge Amphitheatre, June 29)
  4. Hozier (Gorge Amphitheater, Sept. 6)
  5. Chris Stapleton (T-Mobile Park, July 27)

State of play: The average resale price for Rodrigo's tour is $571, and the next-highest is $409 to see Morgan Wallen.

The big picture: Other notable artists touring this summer include Blink-182, Foo Fighters and Chris Stapleton, Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow.
