Where are we?

With its glittering crown visible from 1-5 and Highway 99, this building has a cameo in "Grey's Anatomy" establishing shots.

  • But its Renaissance-style architecture was originally employed for a more ordinary role: reading, writing and arithmetic.
  • And the stone lion? He's a red herring. Originally, this place was better known for Grizzlies.
