If you're ready for a new furry friend, the Seattle Animal Shelter and other local shelters and rescue organizations have adoptable pets that need new homes.

Case in point: Ace is a neutered pit bull terrier mix who's about 2 years old and crate-trained, per the Seattle Animal Shelter.

What they're saying: "Ace's foster parent says he is a super cuddler! His preference is not just to sit with you, but to sit on you!" according to the shelter.

  • Volunteers reported that Ace is very calm at home and does well being left alone.
  • He also "tilts his head sideways when you talk to him — like he's really listening and trying to understand you."

Here's how to meet Ace.
