🛳️ The Navy could decommission four San Diego-based warships, including two that have been active for less than a decade and are part of a ship class widely regarded as a boondoggle. (Union-Tribune)

🏨 Amid pressure from residents, San Diego County supervisors voted Tuesday to extend hotel vouchers for flood victims until May 11 — a $6.6 million extension of its temporary housing program that was set to expire this month. They also approved $3 million to provide three meals a day for 60 days to affected residents. (CBS8)

🌊 San Diego lawmakers are pursuing legislation to streamline housing and transportation projects — including building new apartments and creating bike lanes — by limiting the power of the California Coastal Commission, which can delay and block those projects in coastal neighborhoods. (KPBS)

👩‍⚖️ Coronado Unified School District was found negligent in employing an assistant girls basketball coach who pleaded guilty in 2020 to for having a sexual relationship with one of his players. The former student was awarded $5 million in damages through a civil lawsuit.
