1 chart to go: Utahns are putting a ring on it

A map of the U.S. that shows the percentage of adults who’ve been married at least once, with the highest rates in the central U.S.. Wyoming leads the U.S. at 34.6 percent, with Washington D.C. in last place at 20.4 percent.

Utah had the fourth-highest share of residents in the nation who have been married at least once as of 2022, per data from the American Community Survey.

"Stunning" stat: About 1 in 3 Utahns over 15 years old have been married at least once. Just three states — Arkansas, Idaho and Wyoming — had higher shares of residents that tied the knot.

My thought bubble: I'm surprised we're not No. 1.
