What to do in SLC this weekend: Spanish comedy, used book sale

From live performances to good deals, there's something for everyone in Salt Lake City this weekend.

🎭 Angelo Colina en español

This Venezuelan comic, who launched his stand-up career in Salt Lake City, is returning to the venue where it all started.

The intrigue: Since his first set in 2019, Colina has drawn a massive following with his entirely Spanish-language sets, exposing the intricacies of Latino identity.

When: Saturday; 9:30pm

Where: Wiseguys at The Gateway

Admission: Tickets start at $30.

🎶 Marc E. Bassy

The "You & Me" singer and songwriter is bringing his smooth hip-hop and R&B sounds to Salt Lake City.

When: Saturday at 8pm

Where: Soundwell (49 W. 200 South)

Admission: Tickets start at $25.

📚 Spring Book Sale

The Salt Lake City Public Library is selling used books, vinyl, DVDs and more. Most items will be priced under $5.

  • Proceeds will go toward the library.

When: Friday and Saturday; 11am to 6pm

Where: Main branch (210 E. 400 South)
