🌊 The Current: Staffing firm fined for "whites only" job posting

⚖️ The Justice Department fined a Northern Virginia IT staffing firm $38,500 for a discriminatory job posting that said it only wanted to hire white U.S.-born citizens. (NPR)

  • The company said the posting was made by a "rogue employee" who has since been fired.

💳 Capital One is no longer the exclusive bank behind Walmart credit cards. The announcement came after a federal judge ruled the retail giant could end the co-branded credit card program after five years. (Virginia Business)

  • Walmart sued to end the partnership alleging the NoVa-based bank delayed issuing replacement cards and posting transaction updates.
