5 things to do in Richmond this weekend

Richmond: where you can jam pack Tina Turner, a burlesque show and beer festival into one weekend.

💃 The three-day RVA Burlesque Festival kicks off Thursday night with local and national burlesque performers at Strangeways Brewing in Scott's Addition for $20.

  • Friday: Ember Music Hall, $25.
  • Saturday: The Byrd Theatre, $25.
  • For a weekend pass to all three shows: $60.

🍻 Blues & The Brews in the Bottom wants you to know "this ain't your grandma's blues festival."

🎶 Tina Turner is in town until Sunday — or the Broadway musical about her life is, at least.

  • There are six showings from tonight until Sunday night at Altria Theater. Tickets start at $30.

🎉 Celebrate the Latino tradition of quinceañeras on Sunday at the John Marshall Ballrooms from 3pm to 8pm.

  • The Luxury Quinceañera Dreams Expo will have live performances, a fashion show, vendors and more.
  • Tickets start at $25.

🪁 Decorate and fly kites with the family at Glover Park in Henrico or at River City Sportsplex in Chesterfield from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday.
