A draft report of the audit into a $19,000 lectern purchased by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders' administration is complete, AP reported.

Catch up quick: The purchase came to light as part of a series of freedom of information requests made by lawyer and then-author of the Blue Hog Report, Matt Campbell.

  • The Sanders administration eventually said the payment it made for the lectern was an accounting error. The Republican Party of Arkansas has since reimbursed her office.
  • State Sen. Jimmy Hickey, Jr. (R-Texarkana) asked the legislative Joint Audit committee to investigate the purchase.

What's next: A response from Sanders' office is due Friday. Legislative auditor Roger Norman expects the audit to be complete in early April.
