Unless you've been under a rock, you know the Razorbacks crushed Texas on Saturday.

Flashback: Arkansas fans could not contain their excitement and immediately ran onto the football field to celebrate.

What's happening: The Southeastern Conference fined the Razorbacks $100,000 on Monday for violating the league's policy that prohibits spectators on the playing field. The rule is meant to protect the safety of players and officials.

Yes, but: The Razorbacks knew the consequences. In a video posted on their Twitter account, athletic director Hunter Yurachek can be seen telling Arkansas State Police fans will probably rush the field.

  • Yurachek says he'd rather get fined instead of fans getting hurt if they're held back.
