Arkansas' daily COVID vaccinations more than doubled from July to August

Arkansas' uptick in COVID-19 vaccinations — likely in response to the ongoing surge of cases — hasn't slowed down.
State of play: More than double as many shots went into arms during the first two weeks of August compared to the first two weeks of July.
- The Arkansas Department of Health reported 62,118 vaccinations from July 1–14 and 165,287 vaccinations from Aug. 1–14.
- And that's also up to about 40,000 shots from the previous 14-day period from July 18-31 with 123,218 vaccinations.
Yes, but: Only about 44% of the state’s population 12 and older is fully vaccinated. Another 13.7% is partially vaccinated.
