Eclipses, even partial ones, get people excited. In 1974, registered nurse Chris Ponsot lined up her camera and telescopes to capture the eclipse from the roof of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

  • At its height, that eclipse covered 30% of the Sun in Houston.
