Get your summer walks going

👋 Annalise here. As summer nears, I've been doing this little morning thing lately that I wanted to share: Grabbing a $2 coffee from a market near my house and walking my dog with it.

Why it matters: It's pretty obvious, it's not rocket science, but it's a small treat and slice of calm that helps my disposition going into the workday.

Context: Dog or no, when we walk it's often with a purpose — to get where we're going, or get the dog to use the bathroom. This is different. It's giving yourself the small luxury of a coffee you didn't have to make, and wandering without a goal until that cup is empty.

You likely know this, but I'm here to remind you that even 10 minutes of walking can make you feel more content, more awake and more positive, according to the Mental Health Foundation.
