U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican who's known for inflammatory speech and sharing conspiracy theories, is coming to the Iowa State Fair, Bloomberg reports.
- It's unclear yet if she's planning on speaking when she visits Aug. 19.
What they're saying: Some Republicans have already said they plan on distancing themselves from Greene at the event, according to Bloomberg.
Between the lines: It's no secret the fair is a big stage for presidential hopefuls.
- Greene became a household name during the pandemic, primarily for sharing misinformation about COVID-19, as well as debunked theories such as Pizzagate and QAnon-backed claims.
