Memorial Day in Colorado's culinary scene looks like a crushed cucumber salad.

State of play: That's the top recipe searched with "Memorial Day" in the Centennial State between May 16 of last year and this year, per Google Trends.

The big picture: The most-searched recipes in nearby states include heartier options like pasta salad in Utah, grilled jalapeño poppers in Arizona, and BBQ chicken pizza in New Mexico.

Zoom in: If grilling is more of your go-to — instead of eating raw veggies like cucumbers — you're good to go as long as you don't fire up the pit on May 30.
