It's that time again to look up and peep the changing fall colors.
Driving the news: This year's combination of good rainfall, sunny days and cool nights should result in a fabulous display of reds, oranges and yellows, Beth Christopher, a forester with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), tells Axios.
State of play: You should start seeing some patches of fall colors this week, according to the foliage predictions from smokymountains.com.
- ODNR will post updates every Thursday here.
Some recommendations on where to go to be a proper "Mr. Autumn Man:"
- Highbanks Metro Park: This park near Polaris Fashion Place offers spectacular views of foliage and the Olentangy River.
- Prairie Oaks Metro Park: The reflecting colors off the pond are 💯.
- Mohican State Park: Take a day trip about 70 miles north of Columbus to this popular region for nature-lovers.
