Axios Cleveland celebrates first anniversary
Hard as it is to believe, we've been arriving in your inbox for one whole year.
Why it matters: We launched Jan. 9, 2023, with a simple goal: to become essential reading for the most engaged Cleveland residents and expats, providing a daily news product that gets you up to speed on the big stories shaping our region and having some fun while doing it.
Zoom in: Over the last 12 months, we've sent nearly 250 newsletters.
- We've covered the early policy wins of the Justin Bibb administration, the ongoing plans to develop the Cleveland lakefront and the statewide Issue 1 battle — both of them.
- Troy has provided his indispensable music reporting, with takes on Cleveland music history and Rock Hall politics, while Sam has dug up the occasional transit scoop and kept you apprised of City Hall drama.
What's next: Our aim is to continue featuring an engaging mix of original reporting, plus links from the best and most interesting local journalism, to provide you with everything you need to know — and not much you don't — on music, food, politics and sports.
The bottom line: Thank you for reading our newsletter and supporting our work.
- If you've enjoyed spending your mornings with us over the last year, please encourage your friends and neighbors to subscribe for free.
📮 We want to hear your ideas, too. Email [email protected] with the stories you'd like to see in 2024.
