The Cuyahoga County Public Library has released its list of most-borrowed books in 2023.

Driving the news: The adult fiction titles that claimed the top spots were "Lessons in Chemistry" by Bonnie Garmus, "Tom Lake" by Ann Patchett and "Hello Beautiful" by Ann Napolitano.

The intrigue: Memoirs dominated our favorite nonfiction titles, led by Prince Harry's "Spare" and Britney Spears's "The Woman in Me."

Between the lines: The two most-borrowed audiobooks in fiction were buzzy "romantasy" titles: "Fourth Wing" by Rebecca Yarros and "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Maas.

💭 Sam's thought bubble: My wife is an ACOTAR fanatic. After years of pleading, she finally got me to start the series over the holiday break.

  • I'm nearly done with book two — "A Court of Mist and Fury."
