Pasta and Provisions’ third location is now open in Wilmore

Pasta and Provisions will soft open its new Wilmore location today at 9am.

It’s the gourmet Italian grocer’s third and largest location with others on Providence Road and Park Road. The family-run operation has been serving Charlotte since 1992.

I’m a big fan of the “Get fresh, stay fresh” tile at the front door.

The shop features a deli, imported Italian provisions, fresh pasta, homemade sauces, desserts, breads and more.

The idea is that people will pick up food to prepare at home. But, like at Park Road, they’ll be rolling out a simple in-house lunch menu of sandwiches, salads, pasta and pizza in the coming weeks.

The Wilmore location will have 6 beers on tap along with Pure Intentions cold brew and Up Dog kombucha.

Keeping with the theme of their other two locations, the owners purchased and revamped a historic building with character.

The 1920s era building, located at 1600 South Mint Street, has charm with exposed brick walls and beams from the ceiling repurposed as flooring.

And you better believe they held on to the incredible Charlotte mural by George Howard that was already on the building.

Later this fall, look for expanded outdoor seating on the front sidewalk and an expansive back patio.

That should happen around September, pending zoning approval.

Pasta and Provisions Wilmore is located at 1600 S. Mint Street. Follow along on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
