Set-up began Tuesday for the Novant Thanksgiving Day Parade. Here are the streets you’ll need to avoid.

Levine Avenue for the Arts is closing as of 10 a.m. Tuesday between Tryon and Church streets. This is important to know if you were planning to get lunch or Starbucks. Crews will be installing parade seating here. It’ll re-open Thursday evening.

South Tryon Street will be blocked off between MLK and Stonewall streets starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. This is for installation of the performance stage and parade seating. This will also re-open Thursday evening.

The South Tryon Street bridge connecting Uptown and South End will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday. This is where parade floats will line up.

Stonewall Street closes at 6 a.m. Thursday. Hill Street and Phifer Street (smaller connectors) also close at this time. These will re-open Thursday afternoon.

Pretty much all of Tryon Street — from 3rd to 9th streets — closes at 8 a.m. Thursday, which is Thanksgiving. Chances are you won’t be coming in to work anyway, but be aware. This will re-open at 2 p.m. Thursday.
