On Sunday, Ticketmaster announced it would be issuing ticket vouchers to customers who made purchases between Oct. 21, 1999 and Feb. 27, 2013 on ticketmaster.com as part of a class action lawsuit settlement. To see how many vouchers you received, if any, log into your account on ticketmaster.com, visit “Your Account” and click “Active Vouchers” on the bottom of the menu on the left.

Live Nation has chosen which events the vouchers can be redeemed for. These are listed on their information site. As of Tuesday morning, the list includes 34 shows at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre and PNC Music Pavilion. Note: The vouchers can only be redeemed for general admission tickets.

Anyway, Unknown Brewing’s 2.5ish Anniversary celebration was fantastic, with a stage at the end of a massive parking lot. A simple stage in a parking lot works (see Asheville’s New Mountain Amphitheater). I’m hoping to see a few more events like that.

Times listed are when the show is scheduled to start, not when the doors are opened. Unless listed otherwise, prices are before taxes and fees.

Agenda Picks

  • 6/23: Cranford Hollow, U.S. National Whitewater Center, 7 p.m., free. The Hilton Head Americana group plays an energetic fiddle-driven Southern country blues they call “Lowcountry Stomp,” which is a very appropriate name. Weather should be just about perfect.
  • 6/24: Marcus King Band, I Got 5 On It, Soul Mechanic, Brock Butler; Rabbit Hole, 7:30 p.m., $12-$15 (tickets). Marcus King and his band are some of the most talented musicians to come out of this part of the country in the last decade. The groovy Southern blues rock sextet return to the Rabbit Hole, and at the rate they’re growing, it very well may be the last time you can catch them at a small venue.
