This Venezuelan restaurant on the light rail is worth a try

Next time you’re at Woodlawn Station, consider checking out the Arepas Grill.

It’s steps from the light rail station and open for breakfast and lunch. If you aren’t familiar with arepas, they’re a daily food staple in Venezuela and made up of a maize flour exterior with the inside filled with all sorts of tasty meats and cheeses.

It’s in a little shopping center that’s full of international businesses.

The “Reina Pepeada” is the best seller.

This is chicken, avocado, cilantro and mayonnaise and it is incredible. Solid lunch option.

The “pelua” is also very good. Shredded beef and cheese.

Don’t be afraid to ask for samples. The people who work there are super nice.

Cool decor.

Solid beer selection.

And, of course, we can’t not mention the patio.
