Bank of America

Things you need to know about Bank of America

We all know Bank of America as one of the world’s leading financial institutions. Individuals, small business and large corporations work with the company, from day-to-day banking to investing and major asset management. And it’s everywhere (approx. 4,700 retail financial centers, 16,100 ATMS, online banking with 32 million active users).

What flies a little more under the radar is the huge impact that the bank has on its community, especially for us here in Charlotte. Here are some key areas where the bank gets involved:

(1) Economic development: Improving our community with projects like the North Tryon revitalization, education and workforce development, affordable housing, ending homelessness

(2) Involvement with the events and organizations we love: CIAA tournament, Panthers (obvi), NASCAR, Charlotte Sports Foundation

(3) Inspiring their own team to get involved: Donating skilled volunteer hours, connecting executives with their philanthropic interests and making a difference on the individual level

(4) Grants and funding to upwards of 100 Charlotte-area nonprofits. Small and large organizations across the city benefit from the operational assistance Bank of America provides.
