Grant Thornton (huge accounting) firm is launching an unlimited paid time off policy and local executive Lou Ann Hutchison helped to architect the policy [Peralta/Observer]. Smart. Accountants are hot right now and talented people understand how to budget their time.

Brewpub named Growler USA coming soon to Ballantyne area across the street from the Midwood Smokehouse [Growler USA]. Beverages: Craft beer (duh), cider, wine, flavored kombuchas, cold-pressed coffee and hand-crafted root beer (big in other cities).

200 more apartments are likely coming to South Boulevard [Portillo/Observer].The exact location is 2620 South Boulevard (close to Good Bottle and intersection of Poindexter/South. This entire area is being transformed.

Get excited for the weekend, and did you know that the NASCAR Hall of Fame is introducing a mascot named Champ the Cheetah on Saturday at 10 a.m.? The mascot debut will take place at the Hall of Fame and other attendees will include fellow mascots Sir Purr, Homer the Dragon, Chubby and Blue.
