Facts

  • The ranking was determined “by compiling sales data of all book, magazine and newspaper sales in both print and Kindle format from April 2014 to April 2015, on a per capita basis in cities with more than 500,000 residents.”
  • Fun fact “Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn was the top-selling title in 7 of the top 20 cities: Houston, Austin, Charlotte, Tucson, Louisville, Albuquerque and Baltimore.”

Talking Points

  • Looking to work at Amazon? They’re are currently 12 Amazon job openings in this area. 5 open jobs in Charlotte and 7 Concord. View jobs.
  • Amazon recently announced same day delivery for Prime members in 14 metro areas. They snubbed us. Which makes me angry. Especially since Atlanta is on this list.
