The Art & Soul of South End event will take place this weekend and will highlight visual and performing arts in a weekend-long celebration.

Facts

  • The event will kick off Thursday evening, April 30 with Pecha Kucha Night Charlotte at Amos’ South End.
  • Friday’s South End Gallery Crawl will highlight the opening reception for Carolina’s Got Art at Elder Gallery
  • Saturday’s festivities include ten stops on the Rail Trail that will feature programs and activities for children and adults to enjoy (full schedule below).
  • Charlotte Food Fight will take place in the food truck lot from 3-9 pm and feature approximately 15 food trucks (I’m a judge for this and I’m excited).
  • In addition to the events below, there will be roving entertainers (magicians, balloon artists, etc) throughout the neighborhood on Saturday.
  • Sunday from noon – 2 pm Center City Partners and Piedmont Culinary Guild will host a “Front Porch Sundays” brunch for $35. Tickets and additional details here.
