We asked, you answered, and let the record reflect that Kroger has plenty of fans among Axios Atlanta readers — and more than a few critics.

Tom B. is Team Publix. "Most of the Kroger stores I've been to are crowded, a little dirty and hard to navigate."

Scott C. frequents Costco for meat, produce and staples like paper towels. Publix is the place for everything else. ("No reason for a gallon of ketchup!")

  • Aldi is OK for "one basic thing, quick" and Kroger is a last resort (especially the Vinings and Smyrna stores, which Scott thinks are "gross").

Danny D. is a Kroger regular, save for vegan cheese at Publix. "If Trader Joe's was closer, I would shop there more often." We can dream, Danny. We can dream.

Ellen R. goes to Buford Highway Farmers Market for cut-to-order fish, competitively priced dairy and eggs, and produce matched only by Your DeKalb Farmers Market.

  • "The array of spices and condiments has inspired me to try many new recipes. Going to BuHi elevates grocery shopping to a multicultural experience."
