Engulfed in a credibility crisis and with at least one person inside the White House accusing him of a "cover-up," Chief of Staff John Kelly told the Wall Street Journal Monday that the White House handled the fallout from abuse accusations against Rob Porter correctly.

“It was all done right,” he said.

The bottom line: This entire situation has been a disaster for the White House and for Kelly personally, but he's sticking with his story and insisting he's blameless.

A major explosion has slammed central Beirut, Lebanon, damaging buildings as far as several miles away and injuring scores of people.
