After allegedly lying to law enforcement last month that he had been the victim of a hate crime, "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett has been indicted by a grand jury in Chicago on 16 federal counts, NBC News reports.
Details: Police have described the event as a publicity stunt, saying the actor paid 2 men, Ola and Abel Osundairo. Smollett and his attorneys continue to deny the allegations. Meanwhile, according to NBC News, Chicago authorities are continuing their search for the anonymous source that leaked details to media during the probe.
