Ivanka Trump is planning to head to Illinois on Wednesday to tout workforce development, where she'll lead a roundtable at the Lewis and Clark Community College and spotlight the school's modernized welding program, the AP reports.
White House spokeswoman Jessica Ditto told the AP that Trump's visit will be the first of many aimed at promoting the president's new national council for American workers. Ditto said the council is specifically targeting the needs of manufacturing workers.
