What's new:
- FBI Director Comey told Congress that there were attempts to hack RNC emails, but the emails were out of date. Such efforts extended to individuals at the state and national level.
- Director of National Intelligence James Clapper added that the Russians were "reconnoitering" on voter rolls, but that they can't find any evidence of manipulation.
Comey added that the DNC denied "multiple requests" made by the FBI to examine its hacked servers, and that he wasn't sure why the DNC didn't grant access. Instead, Comey said the DNC allowed a private security firm, CrowdStrike, to examine their computers. The company then shared that information with the FBI.
