House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that House Democrats will oppose a short-term spending bill on Thursday, according to The Hill.
Why it matters: Pressure is on Congress to get an extension on government spending before it expires on Friday afternoon, which would result in a government shutdown.
Dems are opposed because
Pelosi said the proposed two-week extension is "a waste of time," per The Hill, since it doesn't include protection for "Dreamers," funding for the opioid crisis, and more.
