Cybersecurity heavyweight Palo Alto Networks has appointed Google and Oracle veteran Amit Singh as president, the company announced Monday. Singh had served in a variety of roles at Google, helping establish Google's workplace efforts at Google Cloud before his most recent position in the firm's VR unit.
Why it matters: Singh joins Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora, another Google alum, as the company seeks, along with its competition, to ride the cybersecurity boom.
