Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin yesterday said that the White House and GOP leaders have a "very detailed plan" for tax reform, but top Trump economic advisor Gary Cohn today was much more circumspect. Via an interview with CNBC:
"We've really agreed on a skeleton and framework for what taxes need to look like... We're now working with both the Senate Finance Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee to really build out the skeleton; put the muscles on it, put the skin on it and deliver a tax plan."
Bottom line: Cohn's characterization is much more in line with what sources are telling Axios.
