FBI investigating Kansas triple shooting as a hate crime
The FBI is investigating last week's Kansas shooting as a hate crime, according to a media statement the organization released earlier today.
Based upon the initial investigative activity, the FBI, in conjunction with the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, is investigating this incident as a hate crime.
Srinivas Kuchibhotla, a 32-year-old Kansas resident, was killed in an Olathe bar on Feb. 22, while Alok Madasani, 32, and Ian Grillot, 24, were injured. Suspect Adam Purinton, 51, faces one count of premeditated first-degree murder, in addition to two counts of pre-meditated attempted murder, per NBC News.
