Climate change already having big impact in U.S., govt report finds

A draft report prepared by 13 government agencies says the U.S. is already enduring the impact of climate change, such as fewer cool nights and more extreme heat waves, the New York Times reports.

Why this matters: The report is required by Congress every four years but scientists who worked on it told the Times they were "concerned about its fate" as they wait on whether the Trump administration, which discounts climate change, would release it.
