Campbell Soup CEO Denise Morrison retired abruptly on Friday morning after eight years at the company, reports CNBC.
Why it matters: Morrison's retirement brings the number of women who are Fortune 500 CEOs down to 23. Since her retirement was announced, the company's stock has also fallen by 3%.
