BuzzFeed White House reporter fired for alleged inappropriate comments

BuzzFeed News White House correspondent Adrian Carrasquillo was fired on Wednesday after an internal investigation into alleged inappropriate comments to a colleague, according to Business Insider.

A BuzzFeed spokesman told Business Insider: "We are saddened by these circumstances, but we take these issues extremely seriously...We're committed to ensuring that BuzzFeed remains a place where everyone is treated respectfully by his or her peers."

The big picture: BuzzFeed investigated Carrasquillo after his name appeared on a spreadsheet listing men in the media with unverified allegations against them, per Business Insider. Men from multiple outlets who appeared on the list have previously been fired.
