American swimmer Bobby Finke won gold in the first-ever men's Olympic 800-meter freestyle final on Thursday.

The big picture: The 21-year-old came from behind in the last 50 meters to win the race, beating Italy's Gregorio Paltrinieri, who won silver, and Ukraine's Mykhailo Romanchuk, who took bronze.

U.S. beats China for Paralympics gold in women's sitting volleyball

Team USA won gold in the Tokyo Paralympic Games women's sitting volleyball final on Sunday morning local time.

The big picture: The defending champions beat China 3-1 in the final. After the event was added to the Paralympics in 2004, China won the first three golds. The Americans' win took the U.S. Paralympic medals tally to 103, including 36 golds.

Former President Trump on Wednesday announced plans to launch a social media network called "Truth Social," and that it would go public via a SPAC.

Coty Cosmetics CEO Sue Nabi tells Axios the beauty giant will “probably” introduce Coty-branded products one day.

Why it matters: Coty produces some of the world’s most popular fragrances, skin care products and color cosmetics on behalf of other well-known brands, but has shied away from producing its own branded products.
