AT&T wants Justice Department top antitrust official Makan Delrahim to testify in the agency's lawsuit to stop its proposed acquisition of Time Warner, according to the New York Times. The telecom behemoth is also reportedly requesting communications between the White House and the Justice Department.
- The Justice Department and AT&T declined to comment.
Why it matters: It underscores AT&T's strategy to explore the political interference angle in the case stemming from President Trump's previous opposition to the deal.
