California AG: Sacramento officers face no charges for Stephon Clark's killing

The 2 Sacramento police officers who shot and killed Stephon Clark, an unarmed black man, in his grandmother’s backyard last year will not face criminal prosecution, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced Tuesday.
Backdrop: This comes after Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert said Saturday that Officers Terrence Mercadal and Jared Robinet, who shot Clark 8 times, broke no laws and will face "no criminal liability." Clark's shooting has gained national attention and led to public outcry for police reform and improved police-community relations.
