Gun industry fears Corporate America undermining Second Amendment

Gun rights advocates are increasingly viewing restrictions by some retailers and financial services companies as backdoor limits on Americans' Second Amendment rights, per an AP report.

The big picture: After a string of high-profile mass shootings, some online payment processors refused to deal with gun-linked businesses and Bank of America notably reviewed its relationships with AR-style manufacturers as companies were forced to reckon with their social responsibilities after public backlash. As Axios' Mike Allen and Jim VandeHei wrote earlier this year, "The social compact between private enterprise, government and citizens has permanently changed."
