As the bipartisan attendees of the Senate "Gang of 19" meeting took the results back to their respective leaderships, Sen. Lindsey Graham again held court with reporters, expressing hope that they'd achieved the necessary framework for a deal to end the government shutdown. He said, "We’re gonna get there — and if we don’t tonight — I’m really worried about where this thing goes because it’s only going to get nastier in rhetoric.”
Yes, but: He might not like what Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn had to say about the meeting: "I just don't think they're going to get — other than a statement of good faith and intentions to address the DACA situation — I don't think anybody's going to give them any procedural guarantees."
