Uber is losing another key player, this time in Washington, D.C.
Brian Worth, who led Uber's advocacy efforts in Congress, is departing to join Franklin Square Group, a Washington lobbying shop that focuses on the tech industry. The firm's clients include Apple, Google, Dropbox, Square, Stripe — and Uber.
Worth previously served as Coalitions Director for House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, where he helped coordinate efforts to pass free trade agreement legislation and a Highway Bill. He also served at the Small Business Administration during the G.W. Bush administration.
His job at Franklin Square Group will be to help the firm's tech clients navigate Republican politics in the Trump administration and on Capitol Hill. Partner Kara Calvert said Worth "has proven experience building bridges between Silicon Valley and Republican political leaders in Washington."
