Trump unlikely to fill SCOTUS seat before Memorial Day

The president-elect will probably hold off on appointing a Supreme Court Justice until after Jeff Sessions is confirmed as Attorney General. Politico Playbook, citing "multiple GOP sources," says that's to prevent the Senate Judiciary Committee from having too much on its plate.

What's next: Politico predicts that if Sessions makes it through his hearings by early February, Trump could have his new SCOTUS on the bench by Memorial Day.
