Starbucks tech issues not linked to ransomware attack
A Starbucks spokesperson tells Axios that the register outages preventing customers from purchasing coffee Tuesday morning are "definitely not" due to the ransomware attacks that have been sweeping the globe and affecting 150 countries so far. What else we know:
- "The outage was part of a normal update" that took place overnight
- It's hit the U.S. and Canada
- A limited number of locations remain offline, but "stores are remaining open"
