Senate Majority Whip says health vote needs to happen this week

Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn said on Twitter this morning that he wants a vote on the Senate's health care bill this week — a change from his rhetoric just this weekend.

Over the weekend: Per Politico, Cornyn told reporters at a Koch Brothers' donor conference that while things were moving toward a vote this week, the "drop-dead line" for the Senate to pass its health care bill was August 1.
