Within the last month, Special Counsel Bob Mueller's team has directed the Department of Justice to turn over documents related to former FBI director James Comey's firing and Attorney General Jeff Sessions' decision to recuse himself, according to a source "who has not seen the specific request but was told about it," ABC News reports.
Why it matters: Mueller is investigating whether President Trump tried obstructing the probe into ties between his campaign and Russia, and this was his team's first request of the DOJ, which is overseeing the probe.
